Summer isn’t too far away and you’re still not in the shape you want to be in. In fact, there is probably a good chance you haven’t done anything to get a better body. So much for New Year’s Resolutions, right? That’s okay because I am here to show you a few tips you can use right now to motivate yourself and making things happen.
There is a saying that abs are made in the kitchen. So what does that mean for you? Are you eating as healthy as you know you should be? You can do all of the exercises in the world but if you don’t get rid of the layer of fat covering your belly you’ll never see your abs. It’s time to shape up and start eating better. Get rid of that soda and start drinking water or even Gatorade. Gut out the fast food out of your diet unless it’s grilled chicken or salad.
The next tip is to do the right exercises. Most people think that if they do crunches over and over they’ll get nice abs instantly. I’ve got news for you. You can do crunches all you want but you’ll never get the results you want. You need to add more resistance to get any results. This means that you grab any amount of weight that you can handle and put it on your chest and start doing sit-ups. This added resistance will develop your abs.
The last tip is to keep track of the progress you make. How can you ever succeed if you don’t keep track of what you’ve already done? This keeps you from repeating yourself. This is why it’s important to write down any exercise you do and for how many sets and reps. The next time you’ll be able to increase your workload.
