This Is The Finest Out There – Rubber Yoga Mat Review

I have been using the Pro for a few months now. I wanted to get it for cushioning because I have pretty bony feet and knees and I was getting red marks when I did certain poses.

I have high expectations for this mat. I don’t have any complaints really. I did not think that I should invest in such an expensive mat with my limited ability, but it has made a big difference. The thick padding helps my bones a lot (I am on Medicare) and I do not slip as much so my practice has been better as a result.

This one is cheaper. I am completely satisfied with my Manduka BlackMat PRO.

It provides good support, even when getting sweaty. The Manduka black mat offers the most secure footing of any mat I have used; the enhanced stability allows one to concentrate on the pose and not on keeping the feet from slipping. Once you get it you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s thick unlike every other mat out there. I started with a cheap mat that I purchased through a discount retailer. It lasted only a few months and a handful of yoga sessions so I decided to upgrade to this one.

Sure, but I bought it for durability and function, not for travel. This is an excellent mat and well worth the money if you are either a teacher or yoga enthusiast. All in all I’m very satisfied with my purchase. I would note that this is a very heavy mat and not one you would want to lug around while traveling or back and forth to the gym or yoga studio…I would leave this one in place at home (or at the office) and purchase a lighter mat for traveling, vacation, or the lake house. I ended up first getting a mat from hugger mugger and it had no grip at all (so I returned it), then I ended up sucking it up and paying the high price for this one and I have no regrets except I just wish I had gotten it sooner. It isn’t really that heavy which some of the other reviews said.

This mat is more sturdy and thick, thus padding the sensitive bony prominences. It is not slippery, though I wouldn’t say it is any better than other mats if you are doing a very sweaty (like sweat dripping off you into puddles) yoga–you still need a towel. Had I known about the Manduka, I would have purchased it 3 years ago when I started yoga. This mat isn’t cheap, but if you’re serious about your practice or the mat exercises you do, you’ll want this product.

Perhaps the thicker mat I had suffered from too much “give.” The Manduka is easier on my wrists.

I was unable to hold any of the poses that required stretching my legs and feet without slipping. After spending $80 on this mat I was not ready to spend another $50 on a yoga towel to cover it. We contacted the company to see why this was and they simply told us that the mat needed 6 months to be “broken in”. In my opinion, you shouldn’t have to put up with slipping and sliding for on a mat even if it is a new one.

I have this mat and also one of the Manduka Eko mats which is also excellent. MENS YOGA CLOTHING.

She should not be in a yoga class if she wants to act like that. From what I understand yoga is about calming down and inner peace, not being rude.
