The Pilates Reformer benefits your body’s appearance and strength because it was designed to do so by Joseph Pilates the founder of Pilates. It was specifically designed for you to work on your core strength giving you great abs, with flexibility and alignment in a controlled way.
The Reformer continues to be used by many professional athletes in training and for re-habilitation particulary after joint injuries, something Joseph Pilates design was inspired by.
The great thing about the modern Pilates Reformer is that the designs have been altered to make use of modern design and construction methods. Whereas once you had all the problems of taking a trip to the gym or Pilates studio to use a reformer, now you have one to use at home.
You are still probably going to get the best out of Pilates Reformer exercises by being taught by a trained instructor. taking a class in Pilates, where they use the Reformer for example, is probably the best way to go. if you can’t or don’t want to attend a class there are also books and better still DVDs or videos that show you how to use this machine.
The older designs are very well suited to a commercial environment, but they are big and can look a bit like an instrument of torture, with a big wooden frame, bars and leather straps. however for most people it is not the sort of thing they want at home, they want to buy the swish modern designs that do the same job but look a whole lot better.
Looking good and staying healthy has never been more important in today’s hectic lifestyle. if you don’t want to miss out on the benefits of the Pilates Reformer, having one at home can be one way to go. Pilates exercises and machines help you stay fit, look healthier and stay younger looking. now you can see the Pilates Reformer benefits here.

yeah! its great for stretching and abs! but there's a ot of things you can do with it.
i totally recommended!
Doctors, underpaid? I suppose you don't live in America. The most overpaid are athletes and the most underpaid are teachers.
Um..do deadlifts. Make sure your form is good, and you're warming up properly. On Rippetoe's program you should end up with a much bigger deadlift than your squat.
Alyssa,You and the Pilates Reformer sounds like a match made in heaven! Congrats,Laurie
