    Question! One of my bodybuilding guy friends told me the other day that it is impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, because in order to gain muscle you need excess calories and to lose fat you need to put your body in a deficit, and you cannot do both at once. He said it is pointless for me to go on a long run and then do weights/abs. Is this true?? Can I lean out and build muscle at the same time? Is it better to carb cycle every other day as I alternate cardio/weight days?
