How to get a bigger bang from your workout

20 minutes of work equals 40 minutes of caloric work; how can you say “no” to that equation? Interval training combines repeated high intensity bursts of intensity interspersed with periods of rest. This combination allows for more calorie-burning, improves your aerobic threshold, increases lactate tolerance and increases your body’s ability to handle more intense training. Elite athletes do these workouts all of the time; however, people of all fitness levels can do this too and reap the same results that the elites do. By adjusting a workout to align with your fitness level, you are able to get a bigger bang from your workout.

There are three ways to improve your fitness level. High volume training, maximum steady state training and interval training. High Volume training is simply spending hours and hours strength training or cardio training, it gets you in better shape but it can take forever. Maximum steady state training is going out and exercising as fast as you can for as long as you can. This is extremely uncomfortable and most people can not mentally exercise as hard as they can. Interval training gives you the biggest bang, you can accomplish more work in a shorter amount of time. there are plenty of different techniques when it comes to interval training.

Some examples of interval training are as follows:

Ladders: Increasing work and recovery phases.Pyramids: Increasing work phases with consistent recovery.Fartlek: Randomized work and recovery times.Intesive: Enough recovery for an interval.Extensive: Not enough recovery for an interval (I save this workout for my elite athletes).

Interval workouts are a wonderful way to change up a lackluster routine and to see results, both in your body shape and in your training.

If your CD RW drive sees frequent use, this 100 count spindle is your key to sanity. Superfast recording rates up to 52x speed through even high volume burn sessions.

Corporatism, along with other growth-mandated production-oriented economies are not sustainable; steady state cooperatively-based are more realistic options.
