The reason why you eat 5 meals or every two hours isn’t to lose weight it’s to increase metabolism and I’ve experienced it and it does work.

I can explain it in this comment. Intermittent fasting is when you fast (Don’t eat anything) for atleast 16 hours. After the 16 hours or more you consume all your calories under a certain amount of time. For example if you fast for 16 hours you have an 8 hour eating window. Since 16 + 8 = 24 hours in this case. And if you fast for 20 hours you have an 4 hours eating window. And so on. I hope I helped you

i thought eating smaller meals frequently throughout the day increases your metabolism which helps you lose weight or is that not true??
the reason I eat 4-6+ meals a day because I can’t eat that much at a time and I need a lot of calories and macros to put on the muscle I want
I personally aim for 7 total meals every 2 hours i will eat i don’t really follow the amount of calories i intake in those meals but i do kinda in the back of my mind know that all those calories that i need i had consumed throughout the day and honestly it’s working for me.

The reason why everybody says that you need to eat 6-7 times a day in small portions is because this way you can eat more(if you want to bulk) and it keeps your metabolism fast at all times, which is good because this way you burn fat. It would be quite difficult to fit all that food in one or two meals for example.
