You went one more diet, and this time you really lost a lot of weight. You feel great, you look better and you are much healthier. Still, you can’t get rid of the fear the weight might come back. Like other times.
It doesn’t have to! There are very effective strategies how you can ensure that it won’t. Gaining weight back after a diet is the result of having gone on the wrong diet (one that never told you about weight management) and of mistakes people make over and over because of not understanding the causes of their weight problem and the principles of long-term weight loss. How could they if their diet program never taught them?
Here are three powerful strategies that will help you to hold on to your weight loss achievements:
Understand your vulnerability
Don’t go “back to normal”
Monitor your weight
Strategy #1: Understand your vulnerability
You need to understand that right after losing weight you are at a greater risk to gain weight again. You went through a difficult time with many restrictions. Losing weight, especially losing a lot of weight, requires commitment, sacrifices and a serious effort – no matter whether you follow a restrictive crash diet or a slower healthy-eating-approach.
Now that you are slim, it’s very tempting to jump back into indulgence and eating whatever you feel like. It’s like wanting to catch up on what you missed whilst dieting. When you are aware of this danger, you can avoid walking into this trap. Because you will be on your guard.
Understanding your vulnerability means to understand the causes of your weight problem. Unfortunately, most diets don’t pay attention to determining these fat-making habits. Why did you gain weight in the first place? Only if you know that, you can take precautions so that it won’t happen again. Continue Reading

Dancing has changed with time and resulted in the evolution of dance videos. There are numerous dance forms around the world and instructional dance videos have given us an opportunity to learn the dance that interests us. In the early days people used dance as an art form to communicate folk tales and stories from one generation to another. Times have changed now and dancing has become a very popular way of exercising. It has become a part of work out routines.
One does not have to continue with mundane physical exercises every day, all you need is instructional dance videos to make your weight loss more exciting. It is a wonderful way to learn a dance as well as exercise at home at your convenience. In fact you will find it quite easy to learn any style of dancing like hip-hop or erotic dance from dance videos. It may also help you if you take some dance classes to perfect your art.
It is a fact that dedication is the most important aspect of learning anything and the same can be said with dancing. You will learn how to dance at a low cost if you practice regularly by watching instructional dance videos. Several professional dancers use dance videos to coach their students and many of them have shed that extra pounds at a very fast rate.
People are finding less time to exercise but you can workout and enjoy at the same time by watching dance videos as part of your party. There are a lot of dancing in parties and dance videos are excellent tools to have a successful party with your friends. You can start by integrating a dance video at the next party. Happy dancing!

Jogging is great for people who are built for it. The problem is that if you’re overweight, your body isn’t designed to do this form of exercise very well. Also, even though your heart and lungs are strengthened, jogging doesn’t produce the beautiful, sculptured look that lifting weights does.
Most people don’t realize that jogging three miles and walking three miles accomplish almost the same benefits. By walking, you burn the same amount of calories, don’t have to spend a lot of time warming up, cooling down, and stretching out, don’t need to buy elaborate jogging shoes, and can fit your exercise more easily into a busy schedule.
Instead of a sit-down chat or meeting with your friends or associates, take them for a walk when you have something to discuss. It adds a relaxed pace to our all-too-hectic lives.
Try walking with a cane or walking sticks. When I tried one, I was amazed at how much more enjoyable it made walking. It helps keep your posture straight and tall and isn’t a bad crime deterrent either. If everyone began walking with walking sticks, we might end crime on the streets and keep in shape at the same time.

Kids love to move their bodies. They don’t even think of it as exercise, it’s just something that feels good. They’ve attuned to their bodies just as animals are. You were a kid once, remember? Do you recall when you lost that joy in movement?
For most of us it was in school – we were trained to sit still. If we didn’t, we risked a poor grade in conduct. After years of such training, we were able to sit hours and hours without moving. Then came TV – more sitting. And when we gained weight, we became more of a spectator and less of a participant. Don’t you think it’s time to reverse that downward spiral? Should we be walking, jogging, or roller skating to get back to what we once were? Continue Reading
